HISTORY: SUMMERSLAM 2003

Shane McMahon vs Eric Bischoff
Shane got the early lead and pummeled Bischoff until the two fell to the outside where Jonathan Coachman, of all people, attacked Shane with a chair. From there, Bischoff had JR's and Lawler's headsets turned off so Coachman could call the action inside the ring, and he also turned the match into a no holds barred, falls count anywhere contest. Coach held up Shane for a few kicks until Steve Austin came out to even the odds. Coach told Austin he worked for Bischoff now and Austin couldn't touch him unless he was physically provoked, so Shane shoved Coach into Austin and Coach ended up getting a beatdown. Shane then took a lifeless Bischoff and grabbed his hand so he could slap Austin's face, again provoking him so Austin could nail a Stunner on Bischoff. Shane then took Bischoff to the outside and laid him out on the Spanish announce table, headed up to the top and dropped an elbow through the table for the win. Afterwards, Shane and Austin threw a little beer bash.

Part 2 - Shane tries to attack Kane backstage; Shane vs Bischoff in a No Holds Barred match | Download

Shane McMahon kicked off Raw and told us what he started with Kane and the steel chair last week, he came to finish tonight. Eric Bischoff quickly interrupted and said there was nothing more he'd want to see than Shane taking on Kane, however Bischoff said he couldn't make that match. He did however, announce Kane vs. Rob Van Dam for SummerSlam. Bischoff then informed Shane that he was given specific orders from Vince McMahon to have Shane removed from the building tonight with the help of security. Bischoff told Shane he wouldn't do that and said Shane could leave on his own. Shane refused and said he was staying in the ring unless Bischoff wanted to try and make him leave himself. Bischoff told Shane the reason Vince McMahon picked him as a general manager was because he can control his emotions but he told Shane to watch out and added two words for him, "black belt." Steve Austin then decided to intercede and he too told Shane to take a hike, but Shane stayed put. Austin mentioned how Bischoff "cared very deeply" for Linda McMahon and talked about Bischoff's thing for mature women. Austin said since Shane couldn't take on Kane, why not take out his frustrations out on Bischoff tonight in a no holds barred match. Bischoff argued it and reminded Austin that neither of them could lay their hands on a WWE superstar. Austin asked Shane if he was a contracted WWE superstar, which he's not, so the match was on. Bischoff again argued but then calmed down and said it was on.

HISTORY: RAW - JULY 28TH 2003

Vince was in the ring and he called out Kane who walked out in shackles. Vince got in Kane's face and said it would be real easy to beat the living hell out of him with him in shackles but he ordered the shackles to be removed and told the police officers that their work was done. Kane stepped in the ring as Vince berated him, asking him who the hell he thought he was, piledriving his wife into the steel stage. Vince continued the verbal assault but then realized that he had a monster on his hands. Vince proposed a partnership, Kane and McMahon and that's when Steve Austin came out. Austin announced first that he was staying on as co-GM which meant, by Linda McMahon's standards, that he couldn't beat up and WWE superstars unless he was physically provoked, so Austin tried to provoke Kane. Austin offered Kane a free shot but Kane backed off and Shane McMahon came out. Shane got in the ring and then charged at Kane, clotheslining him over the top. Shane was a flurry of fists on the outside but Vince pulled him off and Kane headed up the ramp. Shane then decked his old man, grabbed a chair and went after Kane. On the stage, Shane cracked Kane with the chair a couple times and then Kane fell off the edge of the stage through some tables and other various equipment. After a brief moment, Kane sat up and laughed about what just happened as the show went off the air.

GROWING UP MCMAHON INTERVIEW

Thanks to Oblivion for bringing attention to this 2005 interview with the whole McMahon family including Shane - it's definitely worth a look. The interview was conducted by Mary Caraccioli, below is the blurb from her website.

"You may have seen my one on one interview with Vince McMahon. He was all business in that interview. If you want to see the softer side of Vince, ask him about his family and ask his family about Vince. I had the rare opportunity to spend the day with the entire McMahon family on their turf, the WWE studios in Connecticut. Fans of their shows may be disappointed, they are shockingly normal. I am guessing that one of the reasons they get along so well in real life, is that on TV they can be monsters to each other. Linda’s story has to be seen to be believed."
